Juvederm® is a dermal filler composed primarily of hyaluronic acid. This is a substance already found in the human body that acts to provide volume to our skin. The other well-known filler composed of hyaluronic acid is Restylane®. In general, these two fillers are very similar in terms of their indications, risks, and longevity of results. They represent the two most commonly used fillers on the market. Based on their subtle differences, some surgeons may prefer to use one product over the other and vary this based on the location of injection.
WHAT ARE COMMON USES FOR JUVEDERM?
The most common areas of injection include the cheeks, lips, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, frown lines, hollows above and below the eyelids, and hollows in the temporal area just outside of the eyebrows. Juvederm® can also be used to add volume to the hands, soften the chin fold, improve the appearance of acne scars, improve nasal deformities, and treat various contour deformities from trauma, surgery, or syndromes of soft tissue atrophy.
WHAT TO EXPECT WITH TREATMENT?
We will take your medical history and provide a facial analysis. Once we look at the areas of concern we will create the perfect treatment for you. This is not a surgical treatment. Actual treatment with JUVÉDERM® injectable gels can take 30 minutes to 60 minutes, depending on which area of your face is being treated.

WHAT IS VOLUMA® XC?
As you age, the cheeks may flatten and the skin may begin to sag. This is caused by natural loss of volume in the cheek area, or what the experts call age-related midface volume loss. JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC is designed to add volume beneath the skin’s surface, which provides lift and contour to the cheek area.
HOW LONG DOES VOLUMA® XC LAST?
JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC provides natural-looking and long-lasting results that last up to 2 years with optimal treatment.
WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS?
The most common side effects included temporary reactions at the treatment site such as tenderness, swelling, firmness, lumps/bumps, bruising, pain, redness, discoloration, and itching. Side effects were moderate (uncomfortable), and generally lasted 2 to 4 weeks. As with all skin injection procedures, there is a risk of infection.
HOW DOES VOLUMA® XC WORK?
Over time, due to aging, wrinkles develop on your face, and nasolabial folds may become more visible. JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC is designed to temporarily add volume to the facial wrinkles for a smoother appearance to the face. The lidocaine in the gel improves the comfort of the injection by reducing sensitivity to pain.

WHAT IS VOLBELLA® XC?
JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC is injected into the areas of facial tissue where moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds occur, including the “parentheses lines” around the nose and mouth. JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC is designed to temporarily correct facial wrinkles for a smoother appearance to the face for adults over the age of 21.
HOW LONG DOES VOLBELLA® XC LAST?
The clinical study demonstrated JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC lasts up to 18 months, with optimal treatment.
WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS?
The most common side effects included firmness, swelling, tenderness to touch, lumps/bumps, redness, pain, bruising, itching, and discoloration at the injection site. These side effects were usually mild or moderate in nature (causing little to some discomfort and impact on daily activities) and lasted 14 days or less.

JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC injectable gel is for injection into the lips for lip augmentation and for correction of perioral lines, often called “lipstick lines” in adults over the age of 21.

JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC lasts up to 1 year, with optimal treatment.
WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECT?
JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC is a crystal-clear gel that is injected directly into and around the lips using an ultra-fine needle to temporarily plump the lips for lip augmentation and to smooth the appearance of lines around the mouth. The lidocaine gel improves the comfort of the injection by reducing sensitivity to pain.
